Devotees of SSNM experienced what it was like to worship Ganga Ma at the beach again this year on Saturday, August 9th. Ganga Ma Puja is an annual event in which devotees go to the foreshore of Far Rockaway beach and worship the mother in the form of our most holy river at the shore. Surya Dev is also worshipped at sunrise, and Surya Namaskar was performed on the sand by a number of youths. Afterward, youths enjoyed a refreshing swim in the ocean.
