On October 24, 2009, members of Shri Surya Narayan Mandir visited historic St. Augustine, the first established city, and oldest port in the United States. Approximately 60 members of the mandir made the two hour journey via a charter bus. From start to finish, the trip was memorable and enjoyed by all. From the lively singing of dhoons and hindi film songs on the bus ride to a tour of the city’s historic monuments and landmarks, including an original Spanish fort and jail, to the scrumptious potluck lunch provided, the trip was a much deserved social outing for members of the mandir.
