Our annual Ganga Maa puja which was held on Jun 7th was a day where many devotees of Shri Surya Narayan Mandir enjoyed the bliss of preforming puja on the welcoming shores of Far Rockaway, Beach 14th Street. The puja started at 5:00 am and everyone was encouraged to take part in it. With Surya Dev rising above the horizon, devotees offered persaud to the feet of the mother, Ganga Maa. After the puja, bhaktas enjoyed a refreshing dip in the holy waters of Ganga Maa and offered dhār to Surya Dev. Not only was this a spiritual and divine event, it was also a refreshing enjoyable morning at the beach.
