With Dayaa (Kindness) and Danaam (Charity) being two of the four pillars of Sanatana Dharma, they are also a part of the core values of Shri Surya Narayan Mandir (SSNM). In June of 2024, SSNM donated four $25 gift cards to the top students of P.S./I.S. 268’s eighth grade.
This thoughtful initiative was led by Priya Jadonauth, a dedicated teacher at P.S./I.S. 268. Recognizing the hard work and determination of her students, Priya collaborated with SSNM to reward and motivate these young achievers. The gift cards were presented to the top-performing eighth graders for their academic excellence and perseverance.
SSNM’s generous donation is a testament to their commitment to supporting education and fostering a culture of encouragement and recognition. By acknowledging the efforts of these outstanding students, SSNM not only reinforces the importance of education but also inspires other students to strive for excellence.
These gift cards symbolize more than just a reward; they represent the community’s belief in their potential and their bright futures ahead. Through their ongoing support of educational initiatives, Shri Surya Narayan Mandir makes a meaningful difference in the lives of young students, nurturing the next generation of leaders and achievers. In a world where academic success is often a solitary journey, the support from institutions like SSNM provides a beacon of hope and encouragement, reminding students that their efforts are valued and celebrated by their community.
