At a very early age, Pt. Ishwar Tewari became fascinated with the teachings of Sanatan Dharma and, since then, these great teachings have been his utmost passion. For this he thanks his parents, entire family and several vedantists such as Shankaracharya, Madhvacharya and Ramanujacharya and their respective descendants for their intense adherence to the Truth, despite the many challenges they faced.
He holds college degrees in Computer Science and Communication & Culture – two distinct fields of studies that explore humans’ disparate affinities to be both logical and erratic. Yet, as a summa cum laude graduate, he is firmly convinced that the jnanam from the Bhagavad-Gita is all that needs to be known.
His experiences as former Grade 10-12 mathematics and science teacher has helped him to present his shraddha in the secular arena. Currently, he serves at Shri Surya Narayan Mandir as a Pandit under the guidance of Spiritual Leader Panditji Ram Hardowar, whom he considered his most immediate guiding light in Sanatan Dharma.
He has been a Computer Programmer since 1994 and currently lives in Valley Stream, New York with his dharampatni Soomitaji and three wonderful children – Rajiv, Vikash and Amisha.
