Shri Surya Narayan Mandir, in its’ seventh year has purchased a new and larger facility.  To answer the many questions, the members of the mandir have provide a list of frequently asked questions and answers.

Q: Where is the Mandir located?
A: The temple site is located at 92-17 172nd Street, between Jamaica and Archer Aves.

Q: How large is the site?
A: The site is 17,500 sq ft. The main building is 50′ x 100′ and the Community/Facilities Hall is 50′ x 68′.

Q: Why are we building a new temple in Florida?
A: There are several reasons for building a new temple. One of the biggest reasons is to provide a place of worship and satsang for our Devotees in the Greater Orlando Area of Florida.

Q: What is the main Deity?
A: The main Deity of the temple is Surya Narayan.

Q: Does the temple have a full time priest?
A: Yes. The priest will be performing daily prayers and puja as Hindu tradition requires. The priest will also be in the temple during the hours the temple is open to the devotees.

Q: Is there sufficient parking?
A: Yes. There is an enclosed parking lot within the mandir compound.

Q: Is there facilities for wedding, Janeu, special pujas, etc?
A: Yes. The mandir is currently available for rental.

Q: Is there facilities for community functions?
A: Yes. The community hall will provide ample room for senior citizens, young adult and children.
