FOUR (4) YEAR COURSE on SANATAN DHARMA (Hinduism)
Shri Surya Narayan Mandir offers a unique 4 Level program for your child. This course focuses on the basics of Hindu Dharma and Hindu culture. The program is organized in such a way as to gradually advance the level of learning over the 4 Levels from simple to the advanced concepts of our Dharma.
Our Spiritual Leader Pt. Ram Hardowar, is the founder, director, and coordinator of the program. There are four (4) trained teachers for each level of the program. See below for additional information on the teachers of the program. The teachers receive no monetary reward from the Mandir for these services, all are offered on a voluntary basis.
What Is Surya Veer Sang (SVS)?
Surya Veer Sang is a place for children to come together, learn/practice Hindu culture and heritage, understand Bharat (India) and our unique history & make good friends with similar interest and background.

Mission
To provide a fun, social and educational environment that enables children to acquire a healthy understanding, and subsequently a pride and reverence for their ancient Sanatan Dharma, culture, and a core value system. This will inspire them to apply the teachings into their daily life, exchange thoughts and ideas with peers, develop a confident self-identity, and sense of belongingness to the community.

Question: How many Gods are there in Hinduism?
Answer: As Hindus, We do not believe that there are many Gods.
We do not believe that there is one God. We believe that there is only God. The concept that everything is GOD has to be taught. To unfold this knowledge, we are following the ancient system of teaching handed down to us from the Upanishads and other Shastras (Texts of Hinduism).

WHEN: Fridays 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
AGE: Any child above 5 years.
NO FEES: In keeping with the traditional Gurukulam System there are no fees for the Teaching Program. However, parents can make voluntary donations if they so choose.
SEMESTERS: The course is taught in 3 thirteen-week semesters every year. They have the summers off but the youths then participate in our annual winter camp in January and summer camp in July.
