SSNM Campers Bring Ramayana Characters To Life at Ramayana In The Park 2024

This past week, campers at Shri Surya Narayan Mandir Youth Camp brought the characters of the Ramayana to life, captivating the Ramayana In The Park audience. The characters and roles are as followed: Yuvraj Shamnarine as Lord Rama, Ashmita Singh as Sita Maa, Kamesh Lall as Lakshman, Avinash Dasrat as Hanuman Ji, Taresh Dayal as Lord Shiva, and Medha Maharaj as Parvati Maa. 

Ramayana In The Park began with a grand entrance, as the campers, dressed in elaborate costumes, entered the stage embodying the divinity of these deities. The portrayal of Lord Rama and Mother Sita radiated grace and devotion, while Lakshman and Hanuman Ji’s dedication and bravery were vividly brought to life. The presence of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati added a profound dimension to the event, enriching the atmosphere. 

The ceremony concluded with the deities’ symbolic exit, marking the end of the week-long event. This powerful gesture reinforced the themes of the Ramayana and reminded the audience of the eternal presence of these divine gods in their life. Through their remarkable portrayals, the campers at Shri Surya Narayan Mandir camp not only honored the ancient scripture, but also inspired a sense of devotion in all attendees.
