After many months of preparations, the youths of Shri Surya Narayan Mandir-FL demonstrated their extraordinary talents once again. On Saturday, September 17th, 2011, SSNM had a wonderful “Evening of Entertainment,” during which the kids impressed the audience with their performances. The youths took the lead in planning and coordinating the program, which turned out to be a tremendous success. The performances, which included movie songs and classical and film dances, stunned everyone. The highlight of the evening was the “Savitri & Satyavan” musical drama. The story of Savitri and Satyavan is one of the oldest love stories in the world and portrays the immortal love of a wife to her husband and the power of this bond. The youths worked diligently over the past few weeks in preparation for the skit and their performances easily won over the audience. The tremendous success of the show is credited to the youth group, members of which, planned and coordinated the entire show. Shri Surya Narayan Mandir has always placed an emphasis on the Hindu Youths. We have always prided ourselves in our youth group and were very pleased with the dedication and commitment that they demonstrated.
